Learn about our WordPress website design and development process below. We’ll take your ideas and transform them into a beautiful, fast, and responsive website that delivers results.
1. The WordPress Website Design Brief
The first step is to understand the client’s websites needs and requirements. For this step, we use our Website Questionnaire Form. The form gives the client the opportunity to go into full detail with what they want and need from the final outcome.
We also hold a meeting at either our Auckland CBD office or via a Skype call. Our Director will provide a tailored no obligation quote.
2. Research Stage
Once the quote has been approved, we begin work on the project. We complete business market research and competitor analysis. We’ll also research WordPress StudioPress themes which can be used for the website build.
3. Website Wireframe
A website wireframe provides a visual guide of the overall skeleton of the client’s new website. This stage focuses on website navigation and the user interface design. Once we have completed the website wireframe, we create a presentation using Photoshop.
4. Presentation of PSD
Our Website Designer creates a homepage design mock-up of the new website using Photoshop. We then present the mock-up to the client. This stage allows us to gain feedback and ensure we are on the right track. We make any necessary changes based on client feedback and once finalised, we proceed to the development stage.
5. Development Site
We create a development website which gives the client a visual representation of their new website. We provide the client with access to the development website so that they can check the progress of the website build. Our WordPress developer team also provide daily updates via email.
6. Client Presentation
We present to the client the development site and explain the new design layout and overall functionality. We discuss any changes the client would like and update the site accordingly.
7. Revise and Test
We make adjustments to the website based on the client feedback from the presentation stage. The changes are normally minor as we constantly contact the client with daily website updates. We test the website for functionality, navigation, performance, and mobile responsiveness before we officially launch the website.
8. Go Live
Once we have the client’s approval, we officially launch their new website and regularly monitor the website for performance and functionality.

Every website needs to be maintained regularly so that it continues to perform at the highest level and is also secure from threats. Learn how to use your new Website with WordPress Training
For every client, we highly recommend they take our WordPress training package. They will receive one on one training with a WordPress developer who knows the ins and outs of their new website. The training is four hours long and is broken into two sessions. The training is discounted from $600 to $450 and is highly worthwhile if you want to properly learn how to use your new website.
